We ask for a phone number so we can make sure that you’re the owner of your phone. Phone number verification reduces the ability of trolls and spammers to make Airtime a less enjoyable place for those of us who are here to have fun with friends!
When you provide us with your phone number during the sign-up process, we send a four-digit verification code to your phone in a text message (SMS). You then let us know that you received the code by entering it in the Airtime app.

If your device doesn’t have a cellular data plan, you can use a phone number that you own for a separate device. Make sure it can receive text messages (SMS) so you can verify the phone number.
