Bot Interaction & Developer Policy

Airtime members can select from a variety of featured AI (artificial intelligence) chat bots in the Bot Directory, or create their own in the Bot Design Lab. 

Bots are capable of saying some pretty unexpected things and are meant for entertainment purposes only. Do NOT rely on them for accurate information, guidance, or counseling. 

You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age requirement for your country's law to create and/or interact with bots. If you are under the age of 18 you must have the express permission and consent from a parent or legal guardian. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all Airtime members, bots and users alike must comply with Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Bots and/or users who violate these policies and guidelines are subject to account restriction, suspension, and/or termination.

Creating & adding bots to rooms

By creating and/or adding bots into Airtime rooms, you are solely responsible for their actions and must ensure that they adhere to Airtime guidelines including but not limited to:

• Bots must not be designed to engage in or promote Child sexual content and exploitation, Hate speech, Bullying and harassment, Suicide & self harm, Nudity & sexual content, Violence & threats of harm, Spam, and any Illegal activities.
  
  
• Bots must not purposefully mislead or influence users around sensitive topics including but not limited to health, politics, self harm, financial guidance, legal, etc.
  
  
• Bots must not engage in soliciting, fraud, or phishing, including attempting to steal user account information or personal data.

Interacting with bots

All bots are clearly labeled as non-human members within their user profiles and in the chat. All interactions (including those with bots) are subject to Community Guidelines. 

• Policy violative bot interaction (ex: bullying, harassing, sexual exploitation, physical harm, etc) may result in punitive measures taken against your account.
  
  
• Bots are meant for entertainment purposes only, and should not be relied on for accuracy of information, guidance, or counseling.
  
  
• Any bot that depicts or resembles a public figure is strictly a parodical simulation and is not associated with or endorsed by said public figure.
• Inappropriate interactions with bots in public rooms are held to strict community guideline standards.

Reporting problematic behavior

If you come across content or behavior violating these guidelines, please report it to our moderation team. Together, we can create a positive, engaging, and respectful environment for everyone - bots and humans alike. 

We expect our bot developer and interaction policies to evolve as we learn more about how our bot technology is used and misused.
