Moderators control and manage the Room's settings, media, and members. Moderator controls are set to All Members by default.
TIP: All moderators can override the Room’s creator, so be sure to choose moderators with caution.
Moderators
Adding a Moderator
- Enter your Room.
- Tap on the Room’s name in the upper left corner.
- Scroll down and tap on “Moderation.”
- Tap on Moderators.
- Tap the arrow under “Moderators” to add a moderator.
- Tap
in the upper right corner to select a Room member and promote them to Moderator status.
Removing a Moderator
- Enter your Room.
- Tap on the Room’s name in the upper left corner.
- Scroll down and tap on “Moderation.”
- Tap on Moderators.
- Tap the arrow under “Moderators” to add a moderator
- Swipe left on the name of the moderator you want to remove.
- Tap “Remove.”
Arena Mode
With Arena Mode, moderators have complete control of the Room. Moderators are the only ones who can go live, post media and links, control the stage, manage membership, and edit Room settings. All members still have the opportunity to send chat messages, and send reactions to the Room, however all other moderation settings are restricted to moderators only.
To enable Arena Mode:
- Enter your Room.
- Tap on the Room’s name in the upper left corner.
- Scroll down and tap on “Moderation.”
- Toggle on “Arena Mode.”
- The Room is now in Arena Mode, where moderators control the show.
Moderation
“Send Messages”
By default, all members of a Room can send chat messages. Restricting who can send messages in this Room to moderators only allows only moderators to send chat messages within the Room.
“Send Reactions”
By default, all members of a Room can send reactions. Restricting who can send reactions in this Room to moderators only allows only moderators to send chat reactions within the Room.
“Go Live”
By default, all members of a Room can go live and share their video stream. Restricting who can go live in this Room to moderators only allows only moderators to go live and share their video stream with the rest of the Room.
“Post Media and Links”
By default, all members of a Room can post media and links. Restricting who can post media and links to moderators only allows only moderators to post media and other links within the Room.
“Control the Stage”
By default, all members of a Room can control the stage, including adding and featuring content or other users. Restricting who controls the stage in this Room to moderators only allows only moderators to control the stage, and add/feature content or other users within the Room.
“Manage Membership”
By default, all members of a Room can manage Room membership, including who can approve requests to join and remove Room members. Restricting who can manage membership to moderators only allows only moderators manage the membership options within the Room.
“Edit Room Settings”
By default, all members of a Room can edit Room settings, including privacy settings, Room name, description, and theme. Restricting who can edit the Room settings to moderators only allows only moderators edit the Room’s settings.
