Silencing, Kicking Out & Banning Users

As the creator of a room, you are automatically a host of that room. You can also add other room members as hosts. As a host, you have the power to silence, kick out, or ban any member from your room if their language, content, or behavior is inappropriate.

How to silence a room member: 

Silencing a room member drops any of their chat messages or reactions from the room. The member can remain in the room, but they won't be a disturbance to others. 

• Tap on the name of the room in the center of your screen.
• Tap on the member's avatar.
• Tap "Silence User," then confirm that you would like to do so by tapping "Silence."

How to kick out a room member: 

Kicking a member out of the room removes them from the room, but depending on the room's privacy settings, they may be able to rejoin or be invited back by another host or member. 

• Tap on the name of the room in the center of your screen.
• Tap on the member's avatar.
• Tap "Kick Out User," then confirm that you would like to do so by tapping "Kick Out."

How to ban a room member: 

Banning a member permanently removes them from the room and they will not be able to rejoin, or be invited back to the room at any point. 

• Tap on the name of the room in the center of your screen.
• Tap on the member's avatar.
• Tap "Ban User," then confirm that you would like to do so by tapping "Ban."
